You will need to register as a member at our centre whether you are an experienced climber or this is your first time. You can do this by pre-registering here online or by completing the app on the iPads in our centre. Either way, the consent and waiver will be completed in our centre on the iPads.
You can then choose to simply enjoy our centre and climb on your own or with friends, or alternatively we have a number of instructed options including introductory taster sessions, structured coaching programmes and individually tailored private sessions featured below.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR / BRING?
General sports / gym wear is best. The important thing is to allow for flexibility/movement and something that you feel comfortable in. The centre often changes in temperature, so we advice bringing layers to ensure you stay at optimal temperature. We do serve drinks in our cafe but a good bottle of water is never a miss.
HOW STRONG / FIT DO I NEED TO BE?
You don’t need to be super strong to get into climbing. You’ll find 'problems' (which is what we call certain climbs) you can and can't do on your first visit, and the more you practice the stronger you’ll become! We do advice you warm up before you start to reduce the risk of any injuries, and then your ready to climb! (our knowledgeable staff can help if you need guidance, just ask).
IS BOULDERING FOR ME?
Whether you’re a newbie or climbing in the top grades, everyone has a move that scares them or a challenge that they can’t quite master, and in our friendly environment everyone is cheering each other on. We love to meet new people and introduce them to this amazing sport. You will be warmly welcomed at Chimera Climbing Centre, so come along and give it a go!
