The weather might not have played ball (who ordered the gale force winds?) but you guys turned up, climbed hard and partied even harder and we couldn't be prouder of our brilliant community.
Hats off to our winners, who did an incredible job on some pretty fiendish blocs. Both golds got topped at the end of the night, we crowned a new Dyno King and watched some brilliant climbing.
A huge thank you to Climb Free, Black Diamond, Mammut and Rab for donating so many awesome prizes, the climbers all felt incredibly lucky to go home with such a good haul of goodies!

You came, you climbed, you pretty much universally conquered! The Big Winter Comp was a roaring success, with amazing blocs, incredible vibes and a brilliant final featuring the return of the golden blocs as well as a very special exhibition set piece from the staff.
A huge thanks goes to Lyon, Black Diamond, Beyond Hope and Climb Free for the prizes and to Andre, Abbi, Amber, Hamish, Nathan and Alex Lemel for the incredible blocs. Hats off to the staff for being brave enough to climb in front of a huge crowd, and to the DJ's for keeping the party vibes going.

After a two-year hiatus, the Big Summer Party came back with a bang in 2022. The sun was shining, the loudest shirts you’ve ever seen graced the climbing wall and the blocs were out of this world.
A big thanks to Andre, Nathan, George, Amber, Tom, Sam, Hamish and Chris for setting some absolute classics, Wide Boyz for loading us their demon cracks, and Black Diamond, DMM, La Sportiva and Beyond Hope for the prizes.

The Big Summer Party 2019

On July 20th, Monty the mammoth took up residence outside Chimera in the glorious sunshine for The Big Summer Party. Raising money for two charities – CAC and Air Ambulance Kent Surry Sussex – the party was a roaring success, with the DJ’s ensuring that the fun didn’t stop until the wee hours.
Imogen Horrocks topped the golden problem in the dying light in front of a jubilant crowd to take home the biggest prize, while Chimera’s own Livvy Gent and Lucas Standish-Foster also made the finals.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, had a climb, helped us raise money for two great causes and literally got the party started. And an even bigger thank you to all the local businesses and our brilliant suppliers who donated all the fantastic prizes.
